Cherrywood nursery is a modern open plan nursery set in the beautiful village of Pirbright; we have excellent inside facilities, including a sensory room and soft play. Outside we have spacious gardens for all our age groups, with a vegetable patch and sensory garden and an outdoor learning area.
My Name is Sarah. I have been working for Cherry Childcare since November 2001. I joined as a trainee nursery nurse, and since completing my level 3 in childcare and education, I have worked my way up the career ladder to Nursery Manager.
During my time with Cherry childcare, I have worked in five of our settings, gaining experience with all age groups. I have gained other supporting qualifications such as Safeguarding Children, Safer Recruitment, Paediatric first aid, Basic Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and many more.
I also have two young children of my own, so as well as the professional experience, I have the knowledge of parenting first-hand and have felt the worry of leaving my children in a setting for the first time. I pass down my experiences to the team to help them understand the parent’s settling in process. In doing so, they provide a continuous calm, nurturing, enabling environment for the children, where they can thrive, and you know they are cared for just as much as they would be at home.

The Cherry Childcare Day Nursery & Pre-school group was founded in 1993. We are dedicated to providing quality daycare through our outstanding early years practitioners and educators, training, and facilities in order to achieve the best childcare and early years learning results.
