Team Announcements
As you are all aware Sarah Ryan in our pre-school room is expecting a baby and will sadly be going on maternity leave in march with her last day being Thursday 1st March 2012. We have recently been interviewing to find a suitable candiate to take Sarahs place and we are pleased to announce that we have employed Marianna Coles. Marianna does not have any childcare qualifications so she will be completing her level 3 Diploma with Cherry Childcare during this year, Marianna does however have three of her own children and has always wanted to work with children since a young age. Marianna has so much passion for a career in childcare and i feel she will fit into CherryTown very well. Marianna will be joining us on Wednesday 1st February so she will work closely with Sarah for a month to ensure a smooth transition for the children. I hope you will all join us in welcoming Marianna to our team and wish Sarah all the best for her new arrival.
We also have some more exciting news, Laura Gregory who is currently our Team Supervisor at CherryTown is expecting her second baby. Laura's baby is due in July so Laura will be going on maternity leave starting in May 2012. In March we will begin interviewing for a suitable candiadate to take Laura's place. We will announce who our new Team Supervisor will be once all interviews are complete. In the meantime i hope you will all join us in congratulating Laura on her wonderful news.
Chinese New Year - Year of the Dragon
Next week we will be celebrating the Chinese New Year - Year of the Dragon.
Chinese New Year is a major festival which is celebrated around the world by the Chinese community. It is a time to reunite families and gifts are made to young people. We will be dressing up in red, as a Chinese dragon or in traditional Chinese clothing and we will be doing activities such as making lanterns and fans and pretending to be Chinese dragon’s.
