Fitness Fridays Goes Live!!

Fitness Fridays will be starting on Friday 3rd February!!

Following the success of Football Fridays we are expanding the range of activities making it appealing to all.  Fitness Fridays's will include as well as team games. Fitness Fridays will give the Pre-School exercise sessions that can be performed both inside and outside so, we can have fun irrespective of the weather!

The first set of exercises are connected to the theme - Me, Myself and I - with activities including Zumba, Touch Football and Gymnastics.

We would like to request children come to nursery in "sports kit" to make it even more fun and exciting for them.

If you have any questions please come and talk to us in the nursery office.

Team News

I would like to inform you all of some Team changes which will take effect from 1st February 2012.

As you are aware Clemy Fordery is returning from maternity leave and will be room leader of the Toddler room. Fran Capanna will be moving downstairs to support the baby room. Angie Bateson will be moving upstairs to support the Little Learners team.

We always aim to make CDS changes as minimal disruption to the children as possible by ensuring that they are in a group with children and staff with whom they are familiar with to enable a smoother transition. You will be informed over the next few days of your CDS has changed and if you would like to book an appointment with them.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Angie Bateson who is expecting her 1st Child. Angie will be going on maternity leave in April 2012.
If you have any queries or concerns then, please do not hesitate to come and speak to myself or Katie.

Valentines Day

From 1^st February there will be a post box in reception for your children to post cards to their loved ones.

Extra Sessions

If you require any extra sessions or you would like to make a change to your child’s permanent sessions, then please use the forms provided and hand into your nursery office. These will then be authorised by the person in charge and returned to you to confirm your bookings or changes of sessions.
These forms are available in our nursery reception for your use.

Accidents at Home

As we are all aware children are prone to having trips and bumps as they are growing up. Many of you will have experienced your child taking a tumble which has resulted in them having minor injuries, cuts and scrapes.
We would be most grateful if you could inform the nursery when dropping off your child of any significant information such as ' Joey has a bruise on his head, he fell over in the park', we will record this information and ask you to sign to confirm that you have notified of us.
If you have any questions regarding this please feel free to discuss it with me at any time.

New Parent Brochure - Photos

On the 2nd February we will have a photographer visiting our nursery to take photographs for our new Parents Brochure. The photographs will be a mix of building, team shots and will include some children.  If you do not want your child photographed and possibly used in the new brochure can you please let the nursery manager know in advance. Requests for child photos cannot be accommodated but we will discuss with the photographer the possibility of any individual child photos (if any are taken) being made available to those parents concerned.

As far as obtaining photos of your child, Fran our regular photographer will be visiting the nursery during the year. We will let parents know dates of her visits well in advance.
