Just in Case it Snows!
We have all heard the forecasts for the weekend and next week but, we will have to wait to see if it does snow and the impact if it does.
IN THE EVENT OF OPENING IN BAD WEATHER
It is likely that both Staff and Parents will find it difficult and may have delayed journeys during bad weather. In order to provide for the children in our care we will:
a. Supervise any children in the least number of rooms until sufficient staff numbers allow for this to change.
b. If further adverse weather is expected we will advise parents of a possible early closure and ensure we have appropriate contact numbers for that day.
IN THE EVENT OF EARLY CLOSURE
If further adverse weather is expected it may delay Parents ability to collect their child, for staff to get home and access to the site may be impaired. In this instance we will:
a. Contact all Parents at the earliest opportunity advising closure. This will be no later than 3pm on the day of closure.
b. Supervise children in the least number of rooms based upon staff numbers.
c. Care for your child until collection.
d. Release staff as soon as numbers allow.
IN THE EVENT OF CLOSURE ON THE DAY
We will make reasonable efforts to ensure the nursery is open during bad weather however, should access to the nursery be too difficult and unsafe we may have to close. If we do we will:
a. Advise Parents upon arrival that we are closed.
b. Telephone remaining Parents advising them of closure.
c. Send out via email a Newsflash advising Parents of closure.
d. Notify named contact at local radio.
