Chinese New Year

ay 25th January we had fantastic fun celebrating the Chinese New Year here at CherryBrook nursery. Everyone looked brilliant dressed in red and national Chinese outfits. We made Chinese lanterns, wrote our names in Chinese, looked at all different colours of red, made Chinese flags and much more. The activities provided the children with a variety of different learning opportunities and experiences. The day was clearly enjoyed by all , photos will be displayed in the nursery entrance.
Family Albums and Child Development Records
Family albums are a fantastic way to teach the children all about different families and enables the children to show all their friends who is in their family. Please can we ask that all parents provide pictures of the children's family, home, holidays and pets for us to make into an album. The children find this a great comfort and it helps them to communicate their needs to us as well as filling them with pride. You can also add pictures to your child's development record, celebrating their achievements at home and displaying photographs of the places you have visited. Just click on “Support your local nursery", enter our post code KT15 3HQ, enter a few bits of information about your self and then hit submit. It as simple as that, the more support that Cherrybrook gets the more FREE equipment we could win. I know that some of you have tried to do this previously and the nursery did not come up on the list, I have been assured and checked it myself that it is definitely there now. Don't forget to ask family and friends to join in to. We will keep you updated with our progress.
